How to read the dial
Number.step from zero as used by Honest Coffee Guide, stored as a decimal, e.g. 3.2 = number 3, step 2. Re-zero where the burrs first chirp.
Zero: burrs touching (light chirp); user re-zeroing is common
Manual calls the ring stepless, but it has light detents; Eight Ounce describes 'clicks at every ~15 microns'.

- Settings above are for the M-Modal (ProBrew) burrs. B-Modal (MultiPurpose) chart from Honest Coffee Guide: Turkish 0-0.6, espresso 0.2-2.8, V60 3.1-7.0, pour-over 3.2-10.0, AeroPress 2.0-10.0, moka 2.6-6.5, siphon 2.8-8.4, steep-and-release 3.8-8.7, French press 7.0-10.0, cold brew 8.4-10.0.
- Honest Coffee Guide ranges: M-Modal 230-980 um, B-Modal 170-920 um across numbers 0-10. B-Modal grinds finer at the same number.
- The ~15 um per click figure is from Eight Ounce Coffee and a Pietro Instagram post relayed on Home-Barista; Fiorenzato's manual does not give it, and the number of clicks per dial number is not published. microns_per_step is null because the unit here is a dial number.
- Several owners say espresso sits below 1.0 on the dial and that re-zeroing the burrs gives more room.
- Burrs need 1-2 kg of seasoning before cups settle, per many owners.
- Weight: manual says 1,600 g; Fiorenzato USA says 1.5 kg. Hopper 60 g, grounds container 70 g.
