How to read the dial
1 rotation = 10 numbers = 100 clicks; 1 number = 10 clicks. 1Zpresso writes N.C, e.g. 6.5 = 65 clicks and 12.3 = one full turn plus #2 and 3 clicks = 123 clicks. Honest Coffee Guide writes R.N.C, e.g. 0.5.3 = 53 clicks and 1.2.2 = 100 + 20 + 2 = 122 clicks.
Zero: burrs touching (handle starts to spin with resistance, not the tightest point)

Good to know
- 1Zpresso says the dial goes past one rotation but does not publish a maximum, so range.max is null. Published charts go to about 185 clicks.
- Watch notation: a user who says '8.0' on a K-Ultra usually means 80 clicks (number 8), not 8 clicks.
- 1Zpresso says the zero point can shift two or more clicks depending on dial force; recalibrate after cleaning if 0 no longer lines up.
- No K-Ultra chart was found on 1Zpresso's site, so settings come from Honest Coffee Guide.
- zero_offset_um is an estimate.
- Re-checked 2026-10-22: Honest Coffee Guide's live K-Ultra table now stops at one rotation (1.0.0) for every coarse method, including cold brew at exactly 1.0.0, and lists the grinder as 0-760 µm. That cut-off looks like a page limit rather than real settings, so the earlier, wider chart values are kept here.
